I can't believe that Born at Midnight, my debut YA paranormal from St. Martin's Griffin, releases tomorrow. I feel like a kid at Christmas.

As I mentioned in my last newsletter, to celebrate the release, I'm running a contest called "Tweet my Book and Win a Kindle." You only have one more day to enter to win, so make sure you send that tweet. Click here to read all the details about the contest.

If you haven't read Turned at Dark yet, there is still time to check out my new short story, which introduces the Shadow Falls series. It's available at my publisher's Born at Midnight page and you can also find it at all online retailers for free.

After you read Born at Midnight, if you'd like a little more of Shadow Falls, pop over to my website and read the two scenes I've written from Derek's and Lucas's points of view about Kylie's first day at Shadow Falls Camp. Read the scenes.

Oh. And don't forget, you're all invited to join me at my launch party on April 1st at Katy Budget Books in Houston. Look for more details at my website.

If this is your first newsletter from me, here's how it works. I only send out newsletters when I have a new release, so you won't be bombarded with them. Plus, if you ever decide to unsubscribe, I'll be happy to remove you from my mailing list. Just look for the "Unsubscribe" button at the bottom of the newsletter.

"Born at Midnight is addicting. Kylie's journey of self-discovery and friendship is so full of honesty, it's impossible not to fall in love with her and Shadow Falls... and with two sexy males vying for her attention, the romance is scorching. Born at Midnight has me begging for more, and I love, love, love it!" – Verb Vixen

Don't miss this spectacular new series that will steal your heart and haunt your dreams, Welcome to Shadow Falls camp, nestled deep in the woods of a town called Fallen...

One night Kylie Galen finds herself at the wrong party, with the wrong people, and it changes her life forever. Her mother ships her off to Shadow Falls -- a camp for troubled teens, and within hours of arriving, it becomes painfully clear that her fellow campers aren't just "troubled." Here at Shadow Falls, vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, witches and fairies train side by side—learning to harness their powers, control their magic and live in the normal world.

Kylie's never felt normal, but surely she doesn't belong here with a bunch of paranormal freaks either. Or does she? They insist Kylie is one of them, and that she was brought here for a reason. As if life wasn't complicated enough, enter Derek and Lucas. Derek's a half-fae who's determined to be her boyfriend, and Lucas is a smokin' hot werewolf with whom Kylie shares a secret past. Both Derek and Lucas couldn't be more different, but they both have a powerful hold on her heart.

Even though Kylie feels deeply uncertain about everything, one thing is becoming painfully clear—Shadow Falls is exactly where she belongs...

Kylie Galen thought her life was a mess before she went to Shadow Falls Camp. However, now that she's discovered she's not human, the problems presenting themselves are anything but normal.

She's determined to uncover the answer to her supernatural heritage, but with a ghost insisting someone Kylie loves is about to die, her newly developed sixth sense telling her someone is watching her and a rogue vampire on a murdering rampage, Kylie's quest for answers is on hold. As if her life isn't difficult enough, just when she's about to give her heart to Derek, he starts pulling away. When Lucas comes back, Kylie feels more conflicted than ever. Kylie's weekend with her mom should have been just the break Kylie needs, but it turns out to be her breaking point. Discovering her heritage may not ever matter if she doesn't survive.

Just For Fun:

(I blogged about this at my website a few weeks ago. But in case you haven't seen this, I wanted to share. I think it's intriguing.)

In Born at Midnight, Kylie learns her brain is different from the ones of other supernaturals. Being dyslexic, I can really relate to having a different brain. However, all of us are a little bit different. Check out this link and see if you are right brained or left brained. It's a dancing girl and amazingly two people can look at this at the same time and see the dancer move in different directions. I know because I tried it with my hubby. If you'd like to read my blog about this, go here.

Happy Reading, guys.

All best,

C.C.
