Kylie Galen has had a lot of crap tossed in her lap lately. Her parents are getting a divorce for who the heck knows why. Her boyfriend broke up with her because she wouldn't put out. How many books will there be in the Shadow Falls series?
That depends on how well you enjoy the series. :-) Book #2, Awake at Dawn, will be released in October of 2011; the third Shadow Falls book will be out in 2012.
When will Kylie find out what she is?
Ahh, a great question. I can't answer it just yet because I don't know the answer myself.
What is Kylie?
Another good question, but I'm not answering that one. I do know . . . well, I think I know. I actually haven't written that part yet. But I promise you she's really special.
Who is Kylie going to end up with, Derek or Lucas?
Believe it or not, I don't know the answer to that one either. I'm letting Kylie make that decision. I know that sounds crazy, but sometimes even a writer is surprised by what happens in their work. I start to write a scene and suddenly something that I didn't plan happens on the page. Ideas start flowing and when one comes on fast, it leads to another.
What was your favorite scene in the book to write?
I have so many favorite scenes. I loved the scene with Lucas at the creek . . . yummy. But I also really liked the scene where Kylie tells Della that she wants to give her blood. To me, that was a big moment of real friendship. And we all know how important our friends are to our lives.
